NEW TRUSTEES WANTED

Levenshulme Old Library is seeking new Trustees to help lead our organisation.

Do you have the skills, passion and a few hours a month to help us increase our impact and serve our community better?

Levenshulme Old Library CIO is a community arts organisation, housed in the former Levenshulme library on Cromwell Grove. We are a registered charitable incorporated organisation set up in 2016 to carry forward our vision for a vibrant arts and culture centre.

We are looking for up to six new trustees to bring a fresh perspective and new ideas to our organisation, steering us as we negotiate a period of change, build future sustainability, and develop our vision for the future. Successful candidates will believe passionately in the value of community arts organisations and be committed to engaging the full diversity of the local community.

In particular, we are looking for:

  • Someone with expertise in community asset transfers
  • A youth board member aged 18-25
  • Someone with legal expertise

We are also looking for general trustees who are willing to learn as they go. If you are committed to helping LOL realise its potential, whether you’re a specialist or a generalist, then we’d love to welcome you to our board.

You can find full details of the role here and download an application form here.

Recruitment is ongoing but the posts will be officially appointed at the AGM on Saturday 23rd September. Informal conversations will be arranged at a mutually convenient time for you to find out more and ask any questions.

If you do have any questions about the role and the recruitment process, or for a physical copy of the application pack, please contact Jen on 0777 234 6819 or trustees@levenshulmeoldlibrary.org.uk.
