Stories, Workshops and Creative Happenings in Levenshulme’s Green Spaces

This summer, Levenshulme Old Library is taking creativity outdoors with You Are Here: Creating the Park – a series of events that celebrate storytelling, nature and community in some of Levenshulme’s much-loved parks.
Creating the Park expands our You Are Here project, inviting people of all ages to explore their surroundings in new ways, through creative workshops, guided walks and imaginative activities designed to bring people together and spark new ideas about the green spaces we share.
All events and activities are free to attend.

More Than Just Events
Creating the Park is part of You Are Here, a wider storytelling project from Levenshulme Old Library that explores the histories, memories and meanings of local green spaces. The accompanying podcast – You Are Here: Five Stories About Parks in Levenshulme – is available now and offers original fiction and park portraits rooted in the lived experience of our neighbourhood.
Whether you’re joining a workshop, listening to a story, or just passing through, You Are Here is about noticing what’s around us and imagining what’s possible – one park at a time.
