You Are Here is a new podcast exploring Levenshulme’s green spaces through original fiction as well as real voices, and immersive sound.
Levenshulme Old Library has commissioned five original short stories from some of Manchester’s best writers, each responding to a different park in Levenshulme.
Levenshulme is a built-up urban district in South Manchester, yet it has a surprising wealth of green spaces. You Are Here is a creative response to them – a podcast designed to be experienced in the parks themselves, inviting you to see these landscapes in a new way.
To capture their spirit, we’ve commissioned five of Manchester’s most exciting writers to create short stories inspired by these places. We’ve also spent the past few months walking these routes, talking to the people who use them, and listening to the sounds that define them. The result is a series that blurs the lines between reality and imagination, between public space and personal experience.
This is not just a podcast – it’s an invitation to experience Levenshulme’s green spaces in a fun and creative new way.
