Levenshulme Old Library

Members’ Meeting – Heritage

We’re excited to invite our members to our next meeting, themed around heritage – specifically that of Levenshulme Old Library. Our historic building has been at the heart of our community for over 120 years. Since reopening in 2018 as a community arts centre, it has become a vibrant space for local groups, events, and creative projects.

At this meeting, we’ll explore the history of our beloved building and discuss its future. You’ll hear updates on the progress of our Community Asset Transfer (CAT) process with the council, and we’ll talk about the role of heritage in shaping the space and our activities moving forward.

We’ll also be taking a closer look at our plans for preserving the building’s historic character while developing it into a community hub for years to come.

When: 2pm-4pm, 23rd March
Where: Levenshulme Old Library

Come along, share your thoughts, and help shape the future of this important community asset. We look forward to seeing you there!

Please note: This is a free event for Levenshulme Old Library members. Registering as a member is free and very simple and can be done here. If you’re not a member we’ll ask you to sign up on the day. This is just to ensure the event is in line with our constitution and we’re able to bring our community’s voices into the conversation.
