Ghosts at the Old Library is back for another year!
This is our annual Christmas ghost stories project. Each year we commission a number of writers to create brand new ghost stories which are then performed in full in our building.
Ghost stories at Christmas have long been an oral storytelling tradition, from tales told around the winter fire through to Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol.
We’re looking for volunteers to help make these events a success! As a volunteer, you’ll play a key role in guiding the audience from one performance space to the next, ensuring they experience each ghost story in the perfect eerie setting. Not only will you get to watch all the stories being performed, but you’ll also receive a free copy of the ghost story publications we produce during the project.
It’s a fantastic way to get involved, enjoy some truly unique performances, and be part of a beloved local tradition.
The events are likely to run on the following dates:
- 8pm-10pm, Saturday 30th November
- 8pm-10pm, Saturday 7th December
- 8pm-10pm, Saturday 14th December
