Levenshulme Old Library

Response to Covid-19. September 2020 UPDATE

Our building is starting to re-open for limited covid-secure activities.

Following public health guidance about social distancing and avoiding large gatherings, in March 2020 we took the difficult decision to cease public activities at Levenshulme Old Library building on Cromwell Grove.

Levenshulme Old Library is still not open for drop-in by the public unless by prior arrangement.

This was never a complete closure. ALLFM radio continued its broadcasting, by streaming into their studios from home. Programme schedules were a bit disrupted but they continued sharing useful information and entertaining the community as usual. They are now back to live broadcasting inside Levenshulme Old Library. We also had some essential repairs completed and laid our plans for a careful re-opening.

We want to thank everyone who has stood by us in these difficult times!

We are also taking inquiries for some limited activities, such as by Levy Little Theatre, who are re-opening classes this month. And actively in planning the Levy Fringe 2020, which will be going ahead, largely online.

But as COVID19 infection rates remain high in our community we are taking it very slowly. Safety is our first concern.

Saying Good bye is never easy!

O+C we're moving imageThe Owl and The Coconut are moving all its mindfulness and relaxation activities online.

Due to ongoing restrictions on numbers and safety concerns they aren’t re-opening the Nest.
