This Must Be the Place
Sunday 15th March, 2pm–5pm
Levenshulme Old Library
Free – all ages welcome
On Sunday 15th March, we’re opening the doors for an afternoon of creativity, conversation and community.
This Must Be the Place is a free, family-friendly event celebrating the many lives and stories that make up our neighbourhood. There’ll be creative activities for all ages, free food, and the launch of our new podcast Arrivals: Migration Stories.
What’s happening?
We’re delighted to be working with Afrocats, who will be leading a creative session open to all ages. There’ll also be:
- A mini story trail around the building
- Badge making
- Urdu storytelling for children
- Free books to take away
- Free food from Sips & Dips
The afternoon is designed to be relaxed and welcoming. You can drop in, take part in activities, meet neighbours and spend time together.
About the podcast
The event also marks the launch of Arrivals: Migration Stories, a new podcast from Levenshulme Old Library sharing personal stories from people who have made Manchester their home. The stories reflect the diversity of experiences that shape our city today.
The podcast will be available wherever you get your podcasts.
Everyone is welcome
This event is open to everyone. Whether you’ve lived in Levenshulme for decades or arrived more recently, whether you’re coming with family, friends or on your own – we’d love to see you.
There’s no need to book. Just come along from 2pm on Sunday 15th March.
