Levenshulme Old Library (LOL) is on the lookout for an inspiring and strategic leader to join us as the Chair of the Board of Trustees. This is a unique opportunity to lead a vibrant, community-driven arts hub at a pivotal moment in our development.


About Us:
Levenshulme Old Library is a historic Carnegie library, now a thriving community charity and arts centre. After being closed for several years, LOL was brought back to life in 2018 and is now a cornerstone of Levenshulme, offering space for arts, culture and local engagement. We’re about to enter a new phase, securing a 25-year lease through a community asset transfer, setting the stage for even greater growth.

What You’ll Do:
- Lead the Board of Trustees with vision, strategic thinking, and collaboration.
- Guide the organisation’s growth, ensuring we stay true to our mission and values.
- Support fundraising and resource development to fuel our long-term goals.
- Act as an ambassador for LOL, building key relationships within the community and with external stakeholders.
What We’re Looking For:
- A proven leader with experience in governance or community arts.
- Someone with a passion for supporting and empowering communities.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group.
- Experience in fundraising, HR oversight, or organisational strategy would be an advantage.
