Lockdown Update

How we are responding to Covid19

We are working towards a staged re-opening of our building from the 12th April 2021

We continue to work behind the scenes to ensure that the building is at the best possible standard for groups returning.

Please get in touch if you need any further information.

It was with immense sadness we had to take the very difficult decision to close the building  for the first national lockdown in March 2020, and again for the 4-week period of the 2nd national lockdown in November 2020. With the worsening situation over Christmas and the latest New Year lockdown we have had to remain closed to the general public.

We know that for our user groups this is a great disappointment.

We continue to review the position as the situation evolves, but for now we are working towards a limited re-opening after Easter in April 2021, guidelines permitting. Staff and trustees continue our focus to keep the building safe and secure, and raise funds to offset the loss of income we have suffered.

As a result we are pleased to announce a new grant application has been successful, from the Architectural Heritage Fund. This is to help update our business plan to secure sustainability in the long term. We are actively pursuing other funding to make essential building adaptions and recover lost income.

Its a difficult time for everyone. Community buildings like ours are essential to rebuilding strong communities after the pandemic. We really need the support of our community too. If you can help in any way, offering time or expertise, or by making a donation, we would be very grateful.
