Levenshulme Old Library

Feed the Fox – Beginners’ Creative Writing Workshops

We’re thrilled to announce that we have some fantastic writing workshops heading to Levenshulme Old Library.

Regular LOL-ers may remember that in December we staged Ghosts at the Old Library, our well received Christmas ghost story project. We’re very pleased to welcome back one of the writers we worked with, the wonderful Marie Crook, for a series of relaxed and informal creative writing sessions. These are ideal for beginners or those looking to rekindle their craft, and will all take place within the hallowed settings of our historic library building.

The sessions will take place on:

  • Saturday 4th March, 10am-12pm
  • Saturday 1st April, 10am-12pm
  • Saturday 6th May, 10am-12pm

We’re expecting these to be a big hit so book your space for these here.

We’re ALSO excited to be hosting The Voices of the People, a very special one-off creative writing workshop as part of our Levolution! programme, marking the ten year anniversary of a series of local protests which swept through Levenshulme, electrifying the community and bringing people together.

The Voices of the People is a workshop designed by Marie Crook, a long-term Levenshulme resident, which is themed around place, community and the importance of using the written word to make your voice heard. Everyone is welcome, tickets are free and you can book your spot here.
