We are seeking new trustees to help lead our organisation!

Levenshulme Old Library is a vibrant arts, culture and community centre serving Levenshulme and beyond. Out trustees are crucial to our success.

Do you have the skills, passion and a few hours a month to help us increase our impact and serve our community better?

The role of the trustee is an important one but anyone is can be a trustee. Its a voluntary post, and you must be able to commit a few hours regularly each month to join our existing board of (up to) 12 trustees. We generally meet for 1-2 hours one evening a month, plus there are opportunities to get involved in new and existing projects.

We have been blessed with some great people over the years and you will be joining a small friendly team of local residents, supported by our Jen, Trustee administrator, and our committed and experienced staff team. We have a couple of vacancies and looking for some new trustees to come forward at our AGM on the 29th September 2022.

Becoming a trustee may sound daunting, but its an ideal way to connect with what is happening in your community, learn new skills and put the experience you have to good use. You’ll get loads of support and time to find your feet. We are particularly interested in people from diverse backgrounds to help ensure we meet the needs of our whole community.

As well as those with skills or experience in community building management, running community and volunteer projects, fundraising, communications, marketing or financial management. An interest in how the arts and culture can help a community flourish is a bonus.
